AFTER J.M.W. TURNER (ENGLISH, 1775-1851) NAUTICAL SCENE, oil on canvas, depicting multiple sailing vessels against a cloudy sky, signed and dated lower right corner "JMW Turner / '41". Housed in likely original gilt molded frame. Possibly after "Purfleet and the Essex Shore as seen from Long Reach". Dated 1841. 24 1/2" x 35 1/2" sight, 34" x 44 1/4" OA.

Condition
Very good overall visual condition, scattered minor to moderate areas of craquelure and paint loss, canvas with loss to wood block on reverse. Frame with scattered minor losses.
