AMERICAN ACANTHUS CARVED POSTER BED - RESIZED TO QUEEN SIZE, configured with original birch posts, new maple rails and a new tiger maple headboard. The bed was purchased from Alan Pease, Country Bed Shop, 328 Richardson Rd, Ashby MA 01431. It was resized to QUEEN and currently has a European slat system - no box spring required, only a mattress. The solid brass bed bolt covers are reproductions. The original maple rails and pine headboard have been retained to be sold with this lot. 19th and 20th century. 66" HOA, 54" WOA.
