AMERICAN AESTHETIC MOVEMENT / EGYPTIAN REVIVAL GILT-BRASS FERN STAND WITH CERAMIC INSERTS, featuring a square pierced-edge top with a beetle/scarab applied to each corner, and set with a signed Longwy, France tile to the center, supported on a four-post standard having applied Egyptian-style crossed ferns and an entwined serpent to each post, centering a Longwy ceramic cylinder center, raised on four splayed legs terminating in paw feet. The stand likely Bradley & Hubbard, Ansonia Brass Co., or the Charles Parker Co. Circa 1875. 31" H, 13 1/2" SQ top.

Condition

Very good condition with undamaged inserts, the brass with some typical wear/loss to the gilding, light surface corrosion at the feet.
