AMERICAN CAST-IRON FIGURAL HORSE HEAD HITCHING POST FINIAL, solid-form, two-part mold, depicting a horse's head with braided mane, having a ring in mouth, resting on a flat tombstone-shaped base. Traces of early but likely not original gold paint. Late 19th century/early 20th century. 10 1/4" HOA, 7 1/2" WOA, 4" DOA.
Condition
Very good condition with minor surface wear and discoloration; loss to painted surface.
