AMERICAN CUT AND ROUGHED RAILROAD LANTERN PRESENTATION GLOBE, heavy baluster form with thick applied rings, decoration comprising of a stylized cartouche having "1853" above "T (star) G", and a shield flanked on each side by a lyre with foliage sprouting from its base. Possibly Union Glass Works, Philadelphia, PA. 1853. 7 1/4" HOA, 3" top fitter, 4" bottom fitter.
Condition
Old repair to edge of lower fitter which would be hidden by the lantern frame, no other damage.
