AMERICAN EARTHENWARE / REDWARE MINIATURE VESSELS, LOT OF TWO, manganese- and lead-glazed, comprising a bulbous pitcher with rounded handle and slight foot, and an ovoid jug with delicate mouth, rounded handle, and pronounced foot. First half 19th century. 2 1/4" and 2 3/4" H.
Provenance: From the private collection of Brian Penniston, Miller's Tavern, VA.

Condition

Pitcher with two minor flakes and spot of roughness to rim, and chip to edge of foot; jug with chipping and loss of glaze to mouth, glaze loss to edges of handle, and several minor glaze flakes to body.
