AMERICAN EARTHENWARE / YELLOWWARE FOOT WARMERS, LOT OF FOUR, comprising three Rockingham-glazed examples including one example with a fish-head mouth, scales to side, and two feet impressions, and two possible Bennington examples including one with scroll design to shoulder, and one lead-glazed scroddleware example with two knob handles to top and a central mouth. Unmarked. Possibly Lyman Fenton & Co., Bennington, VT; and others. Second half 19th century. Fish example 11" HOA.

Fish example undamaged; scroddleware example having professional restoration to chip on mouth, otherwise undamaged; larger Bennington-style example having a flake to mouth and a flake to shoulder; smaller Bennington-style example with professional restoration to mouth.
