AMERICAN OR BRITISH CHIPPENDALE MAHOGANY SIDE CHAIRS, SET OF SIX, each featuring a shaped crest rail over pierced vasiform splat, trapezoidal slip seats, the whole raised on cabriole front legs with scrolled returns and acanthus carvings, terminating in pad feet. Retains an old surface with warm color. Fourth quarter 18th century. 38 1/2" HOA, 19" H seat, 16" D seat.

Condition
Very good overall condition, some with typical repairs to splats and feet, cracks to junctures of legs and seat rails, replaced seat blocking, areas of wear.
