AMERICAN OR EUROPEAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART PORTRAIT OF A BOY, oil on canvas, three-quarter length portrait depicting a boy in red with his hoop and stick, set in a landscape background, no signature located. Housed in a likely original frame. Mid 19th century. 20 3/8" HOA, 17 3/4" WOA.
Condition
Good condition with a 2 1/2" tear in the upper left quadrant, other tears patched and repaired; several areas of inpaint evident; frame surface painted/regilded.
From a Northern Virginia estate.
