AMERICAN POPLAR AND OAK BALLOT BOX, top section poplar, bottom section oak, finish the addition of the oak section is a period adaptation likely added to account for a larger amount of votes, top has two separate locks both with keys, two rings to back allow it to be attached to a wall etc. for security. Retains an old refinished surface. 19th century, adaptation circa 1900. 14 1/4" HOA, 17" WOA, 9 3/4" DOA.
Condition
Very good condition with minor wear to finish.
