AMERICAN ROCKINGHAM-GLAZED POTTERY FIGURAL INKWELLS, LOT OF FOUR, mottled brown, comprising a recumbent dog on an ovoid base with tail wrapped around hind legs, two examples featuring sleeping figures with hats including a girl and a boy, and a flat-toed boot example. Unmarked. Sleeping boy attributed to Larkin Brothers, East Liverpool, OH or Newell, WV. Second half 19th century. 3 5/8" HOA.

Condition

Three undamaged; boot having a chip to top edge. Manufacturing flaws including boy and girl with glaze flake to underside, as made.
