AMERICAN ROCKINGHAM / YELLOWWARE POTTERY ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE,
comprising a colander having embossed star decoration, two food molds including a bird and a grape bunch, a sugar shaker having mottled green, brown, and yellow glazes, and a brown-glazed syrup with hinged metal lid. Unmarked.
Circa 1875.
3 7/8" HOA, platter 14 3/8" x 11 1/4".
Provenance: Property from a Youngstown, OH estate.
Colander undamaged; sugar with hairline to base; syrup having detached but present lid with some losses, otherwise undamaged; each food mold having some restoration to areas on rim, bird example having a flake to foot edge.
