AMERICAN SCHOOL (18TH CENTURY) MINIATURE PORTRAIT OF A WOMAN, watercolor, bust-length depiction of sitter in oblique pose, her face turned toward the viewer, wearing a white lace bonnet and wrap over a puce gown, no signature located. Housed under glass in a pendant-style gilt-metal frame. Possibly James Peale (Maryland / Pennsylvania, 1749-1831). Circa 1790. 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" OA.
Condition
Excellent overall visual condition. Frame with minor wear, light scratches to glass. Not examined out of frame.
