AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH / 20TH CENTURY) FOLK ART PAINTING, watercolor on paper, depicting a street scene, featuring a sidewalk with a dog in front of two houses with picket fences, flanked by three trees with intricately-completed leaves on branches, no signature located. Housed under glass in a period painted frame. 19th/20th century. 8 3/4" x 6 5/8" sight, 11 1/8" x 9 1/2" OA.
Provenance: From a private collection in Washington, DC.
Very good overall condition with overall toning, scattered areas of discoloration, frame with some wear and chips to paint. Not examined outside of frame.
