AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) LANDSCAPE DRAWING OF HUDSON RIVER VALLEY, pastel and charcoal on paper, depicting a landscape view of the river with scattered boats, foreground featuring a field with a cow and sheep, background with mountains and distant buildings, no signature located. Housed under glass in a period gilt-molded frame, having an attached late 20th century dealer's note which part of it reads, "Purchased near West Point N.Y. about 1860". 19th century. 12 3/4" x 9 5/8" sight, 18" x 14 7/8" OA.
Condition
Very good visual condition with a few light stains. Frame with several losses, cracks, re-gilded, glass replaced. Not examined out of frame.
