AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART SHIP PORTRAIT, watercolor and gouache on paper, depicting the "USS Marion" flying the American flag, with note on reverse with mention of Tom Davidson who was paymaster aboard the ship and served in the Navy for 14 years. Housed under glass in a gilt frame. Second half 19th century. 17" x 23" sight, 20" x 27" OA.

Good overall visual condition, with moderate discoloration. Not examined outside of frame.
