AMERICAN SHAKER RAG RUG, elongated rectangular form, featuring a polychrome field in various fabrics with a dark border around edges, pieces of fabric sewn to fabric and backed by burlap. Mounted to fabric on a wooden stretcher. Late 19th century. Rug 54 1/2" x 26".

Very good visual condition with some wear, light toning, a few stains, some fabrics light to moderate fading and fugitive color, two spots of fabric loss along one side in border, back in unknown condition.
