AMERICAN SLAVE BIRTH OF CHILDREN MANUSCRIPT DOCUMENTS, LOT OF TWO, (1) dated February 10, 1819, Pequanock, Morris Co., New Jersey, "... negro female slave named Hannah was delivered of a male black child named Abraham..."; and (2) dated August 10, 1824, recording a female, "daughter of Mary a slave, the property of Mrs. Margaret Canfield. Mr. Drake will please record the above animal", signed J. E. Canfield. Each with docketing on verso. 4 1/2" x 9 1/4" and 5" x 8".
Condition
Very good condition with light fold creases, (2) with small hole at right edge.
