AMERICAN WHITE COVERLET AND BEDSPREAD, LOT OF TWO, comprising a huckabuck whitework coverlet, three joined panels, featuring vertical line design with honeycomb and linear pattern, three edges with applied long fringe; and a knitted bedspread with raised design featuring diamond and petal motifs, three sides with serrated edges. Coverlet first quarter 19th century, bedspread late 19th/early 20th century. Coverlet 103" x 122" with fringe; bedspread 80" x 100".
Coverlet in fair overall condition with light to moderate toning, scattered stains and spotting, several breaks, fraying, and separation of yarn, thin spots and holes mostly along linear-patterned vertical lines, fringe with several losses; bedspread in excellent overall condition except for some light toning, scattered stains, and spotting.
