AMERICAN WROUGHT-IRON HOG SPLITTER OR BUTCHER'S AXE / CLEAVER, hand-forged single-piece construction, enormous two-handed size and heft, no markings located. 19th century. 37 1/2" LOA, 15 3/4" blade.
Condition
Good condition, weathered original surface with overall moderate pitting and rust, blade still has sharpness.
