ANDREW BYRD, SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA COLONIAL LAND GRANT / PATENT, inked manuscript on vellum, dated June 20, 1772, for 150 acres in Augusta (now Rockingham) Co., on east side of Smith's Creek, signed by Virginia Governor John Murray as Lord Dunmore, seal intact. Housed under glass in a modern frame. 1772. 15 1/4" x 12 1/2" object, 18 3/4" x 16 1/2" OA.
Provenance: From the John H. and Joan S. Byrd estate collection, Harrisonburg, VA.
Descended in the Andrew Byrd family of Craney Island/Smith's Creek, Rockingham Co., VA.

Good condition with typical fold creases, some toning. Not examined out of frame.
