ANTIQUE AESTHETIC MOVEMENT AND OTHER METAL BELT OR DRESS BUCKLES, LOT OF 13, each two-part form including Aesthetic Movement and Art Deco designs, comprising nine buckles with black lacquered finish including one presented on a black ribbon belt/sash, one copper/copper-toned buckle, a buckle with applied dolphin and dragon-type motifs, and two gilt-metal examples. Two black-lacquered shield-form buckles each having "PATENTED [or PAT.] 12.15.08." marks to bars, remainder unmarked. Fourth quarter 19th/first quarter 20th century. Copper/copper-toned buckle 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" OA.
Very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including worn spots/losses to metal finishes, slight bending notably to bars on backs, and/or possibly one or a few repairs.
