ANTIQUE AND VINTAGE GLASS STONE / RHINESTONE METAL BELT OR DRESS BUCKLES, LOT OF 13, each two-part form having silver-toned or other metal frame with one or more glass stones / rhinestones, including three buckles with turquoise-type blue rhinestones featuring one with enamel remnants, three with amethyst-type purple rhinestones, a silver-toned buckle with leaf decoration and light blue glass cabochons, and one grape form having black-lacquered finish and black rhinestones. Buckle with green rhinestones marked "COLONIAL" for Colonial Bead Co., Inc. of New York City, NY, remainder unmarked. Late 19th/first half 20th century. Longest buckle 5 7/8" x 1 3/4" OA.
Most in very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including worn spots/losses to metal finishes, one or a few spots/areas of oxidation, some bending, and/or possibly one or a few repairs; longest buckle lacking one loop on back, possibly having a glue repair to front; butterfly-form buckle with blue glass cabochon reattached with glue.
