ANTIQUE FOLMER & SCHWING AUTO GRAFLEX ACCORDION HOOD CAMERA, black leather coated wooden hardware and black-painted metal trim/components, stationary Graflex back accepting 3 1/4"x 4 1/4" film currently with a sheet film holder, very early camera serial number 8241, equipped with a Bausch & Lomb Zeiss Tessar Series 1C lens, unusual horizontal sliding-door lens cover, front-hinged accordion leather viewing hood. Camera produced 1906-1910. 6 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 7" body (closed, not counting back).
Camera in excellent visual condition with significantly less than average wear to body, mostly limited to rubbing to brass and losses of paint in some areas, but with peeling leather in some areas around back and having some old tape and a wire repair visible around interior of camera body/shutter; despite this, camera's mechanical parts each appear to operate smoothly with the exception of curtain, the hood and bellows seem to operate smoothly with no apparent pinholes; the mirrors produce a viewable and relatively crisp image; camera has not been tested for functionality (see Catalogue Guarantee).
