ANTIQUE / VINTAGE 14K YELLOW GOLD AND CARVED SHELL CAMEO PENDANT, large ovoid carved shell cameo of a Classical woman wearing a grapevine crown, set in a 14K yellow gold bezel with a hanging loop. Bezel tested as 14K gold fineness. Total weight including shell:13.5 grams. Together with a 24" L gold-filled herringbone chain having spring-ring clasp. Two pieces total. Late 19th/first quarter 20th century. Pendant 2 1/8" x 1 3/8" OA.
Provenance: Property of a Shenandoah Co., VA gentleman.
Pendant in very good overall condition with minor wear and surface scratches, a few dents to bezel; necklace chain in good overall condition with wear, a few spots of bending to links, some minor gold loss.
