ANTIQUE / VINTAGE BLACK GLASS AND OTHER MATERIAL HATPINS, LOT OF SEVEN, comprising one with a long tapered faceted black glass top featuring a black glass ring around it with setting having three colorless rhinestones, one with a cut-faceted elongated black glass top having colorless rhinestones to setting, one with a round faceted black glass top having large petaled brass setting, one with two pins topped by cut-faceted black glass beads having a silver-toned chain connector, one possibly fantasy piece having a round top with faceted black plastic center, one with a triangular top having black glass center surrounded by turquoise-colored cabochons, and one with an elongated black plastic or other material top in a floral-patterned setting. Unmarked. Late 19th/first half 20th century. Pins 3 1/2" to 11 3/8" HOA.
Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including worn spots/losses to metal finishes, minor to moderate bending, possibly minor flakes to glass, nicks, and spots of light corrosion on pins; hatpin with rhinestones to setting having glass top loose and detached from pin; possible fantasy piece with probably removed element to base of top along edge; one with triangular top having some losses to turquoise-colored cabochons; one with elongated plastic/other material top having several scratches or hairlines that go around the top.
