ANTIQUE / VINTAGE ENAMELED STERLING SILVER AND OTHER METAL HATPINS, LOT OF FOUR, comprising one with a round sterling top having a stylized design with purple, white, blue, and green enamel, one with an elongated shape top having star center with black enameling, one with a square copper top having blackish enameling with a red dot, and one fantasy piece with an openwork bead top having applied trefoil knot-form element with red and blue enameling. Sterling piece marked, remainder unmarked. 20th century. 6 3/8" to 9" LOA.
Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks and minor bending; sterling hatpin with a sizable chip to green enamel, solder repair at knop with terminal of pin; one with elongated shape top with area of possible enamel losses or as-made imperfection; one with square top having some spots of oxidation to metal, a few flakes to enamel at scrolled motifs; fantasy piece with knot element having two spots of hardware removal on back, probably formerly a brooch, openwork bead top with soldering to tip.
