ANTIQUE / VINTAGE ENAMELED STERLING SILVER AND OTHER METAL HATPINS, LOT OF NINE, each having enameled top, comprising one with a figural maple leaf sterling top, one with a printed seaside image to the top featuring "HOPE" in a banner above a vignette of an anchor, one having a round top with a black and a white dog, one with top for Wittenberg College of Springfield, OH, two with tops having initials or acronyms, and three with openwork tops. Maple leaf top marked "STERLING", remainder unmarked. Late 19th/first half 20th century. 5 1/4" to 10 3/4" LOA.
Most in good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including worn spots/losses to metal finishes, nicks, minor to moderate bending, one or more flakes and/or chips to enamel, and spots/areas of light to moderate corrosion; hatpin with "HMNS" initials/acronym having soldered repair or poorly applied solder to base at knop; round openwork top hatpin with significant losses to enamel.
