ANTIQUE / VINTAGE IMPROVED ORDER OF RED MEN AND OTHER FRATERNAL LOCKETS / WATCH FOBS AND BUCKLE, LOT OF 13, each piece gold-filled/toned having one or more emblems to one or both sides with many being applied having enameled decoration, fraternal orders/societies including Improved Order of Red Men and Fraternal Order of Eagle (FOE), comprising 11 lockets including one with a tiger's eye cameo, one with a raised Art Nouveau floral decoration to reverse, and a large example with a horse head and rhinestone horseshoe design to reverse, one FOE fob/pendant with rhinestones, and a belt buckle with mother-of-pearl. Many with maker's marks, including four lockets marked for S. & B. Lederer Co. of Providence, RI, large locket with applied Native American head emblem marked for A.A. Greene & Co. of Providence, RI. Late 19th/first half 20th century. Belt buckle 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" OA.
Most in good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including worn spots to gold finish, spots of oxidation, nicks, one or a few minute/small dents, and/or one or a few flakes/losses to enamel; two FOE lockets with moderate to heavy oxidation to interiors, small locket with area of oxidation to exterior and several losses to enamel on one emblem; locket with Art Nouveau floral decoration having probable solder repair to emblem; large locket by A. A. Greene & Co. having solder to interior near securing tab and unable to stay closed.
