ANTIQUE / VINTAGE SILVER-PLATED AND OTHER LADY'S PURSES AND ACCESSORIES, LOT OF SIX, comprising a silver-plated book-form minaudiere clutch with embossed scrolled and foliate design having a hinged bone-type notepad to interior with small mechanical pencil and old inscriptions including "1892" date, two silver-plated / German silver mesh purses by Whiting & Davis Co. of Plainville, MA with the larger example having "CLARA G. QUIMbY" etched to top of handles, a black knitted miser-type purse with steel beaded accents, a small metal-beaded purse with adjustable chain strap and hinged handles marked "MADE IN FRANCE", and a gold-toned Wadsworth makeup compact in the form of a hand fan. Most with marks. Late 19th/first half 20th century. Minaudiere 3" x 4" x 1/2" OA.

Condition

Good to very good overall condition with some wear and other imperfections including slight bending, worn spots of metal finishes, and/or minor losses to jump rings/beads; minaudiere with some dents; smaller Whiting & Davis purse with a repair to clasp; miser-type purse with unfinished top, possibly being cut-down; French beaded purse with losses to fringe; compact with old loose powder makeup to interior.
