ANTIQUE / VINTAGE SPORTING EQUIPMENT AND SETS, LOT OF FIVE, comprising a hard-shell tennis racket case with brown vinyl exterior and houndstooth fabric interior lining lacking a key, a Ken-Wel Seminole tennis racket with black leather grip, a Moody Hustler badminton or squash racket with brown leather grip, an incomplete boxed croquet set with oak mallets and many wooden cones, and an incomplete painted wood croquet set of five mallets, six balls, two stakes, and a round rack stand. First half/mid 20th century. Racquet case 29" x 13" x 6 1/4" OA.

Condition

Most in good to very good overall condition with moderate usage wear and other imperfections; case missing key; tennis racket with cracks at throat; painted croquet set with scattered losses to paint notably on stand and balls, lacking one mallet and wickets.

Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation, and future acquisitions.
