ASSORTED ANTIQUE / VINTAGE HAIR COMBS, LOT OF SEVEN, each made of plastic/celluloid with faux tortoiseshell pattern, comprising two large examples with pierced design and six teeth, a smaller example with reticulated floral pattern and five teeth, a reddish example with pierced scroll design and three teeth, a pair with silver-type mounts, and one with a gold-toned flower mount. Three smaller combs with mounts having "FRANCE" or "MADE IN FRANCE" mark to comb, remainder unmarked. 20th century. Widest large comb 11 1/4" WOA, 10 3/4" HOA.
Good to very good overall condition with expected usage wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections; tallest large comb and reticulate floral comb each with at least one break, possible one or two other breaks.
