ASSORTED BISQUE AND COMPOSITION DOLLS, LOT OF FIVE, each with painted facial decoration, comprising two all bisque examples, including one with fixed brown glass eyes; two German dollhouse-sized composition examples depicting a young boy and girl; and remaining example with a bisque head and kid-leather body, bisque hands, sleepy brown glass eyes and open mouth with exposed teeth, reverse of neck impressed "X / DEP". Each with vintage clothing and undergarments. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 4" to 10 3/4" H.

Condition

Good overall condition, all bisque examples in very good condition with expected wear, one composition example lacking a leg, and largest DEP example broken at neck and losses to the hands. Clothing in good condition with expected imperfections.

Deaccessioned by the Wachovia Historical Society to benefit acquisitions and conservation funds.
