ASSORTED FLINT EAPG WHALE OIL / FLUID LAMPS, LOT OF FOUR,
colorless lead glass,
including a Bigler finger lamp, a Heart and Thumbprint stand lamp, and a Circle and Sawtooth finger lamp, each having a pewter or brass collar. Each fitted with a period two-tube burner with most having caps and chains.
Various makers.
Third quarter 19th century.
4 1/4" to 8 1/2" H to top of collar.
Provenance:Michael Carter collection, Hanover, PA.
Bigler having a flake to the edge of the handle; Heart having some flaking and chipping to the base edge; Circle burner does not tighten having has bending; remainder undamaged with several having some light wear.
