comprising a New England Centennial, and an American Shield example, each having a period brass collar. Each fitted with a period slip burner and appropriate chimney.
Various makers.
Fourth quarter 19th century.
3 1/2" and 4 3/8" H to top of collar.
Provenance:Michael Carter collection, Hanover, PA.
Each ex-collection of Catherine Thuro (retains collection label).
Centennial undamaged with some light wear; Shield having a crack to the lower terminal of the handle.
