ASSORTED OPTOMETRIST PROSTHETIC / GLASS EYE FITTING SETS IN CASES, LOT OF TWO, an assembled group including a variety of shapes (both right and left eyes) and sizes of hand-painted acrylic/plastic prosthetic eyes, housed in two felt-backed wooden and/or cardboard compartmented display/travel cases with leather exteriors, one having a lid with old labeling "Right Blue Snellens", "100 Blues Grns Hazel", and other illegible writing. Various makers. Mid 20th century. 12 3/8" x 6" hinged case's bottom.
Catalogue Note: These sets/cases were presumably made for use at an optometrist's office, and contain a variety of generic eyes mixed with probably some actual patients' daily prostheses.
Good visual condition overall, many eyes undamaged, some with possible discoloration and/or deterioration and two or three of them cracked; cases each with heavy wear and tear including losses to leather, staining to fabric, loss of hinges, etc.
