ASSORTED SQUATTY PINT FRUIT JARS, LOT OF THREE, aqua, each squat cylindrical-form pints, comprising two different Gilchrist jars with "R.A.G." and "G.J. Co." monograms having matching marked metal bands and correct milk glass pickle pusher/immerser inserts, and a script-embossed "Doolittle" jar with correct, but non-matching colorless lid, metal clamps and embossed with a 1900 patent date and the instructions: "MATCH COVER & JAR SLOTS", fancier-monogrammed Gilchrist with factory-ground lip, the other two machine-made. Late 19th/early 20th century. 4 1/8" HOA.

Condition

Both Gilchrists undamaged; Doolittle excellent with jar undamaged but having residue at backside and lid with a wide chip around one slot, probably lacking part of the metal closure component.

Collection of the late Al and Billy Steidel, Alexandria, VA.
