ASSORTED STERLING SILVER AND OTHER ARTICLES, LOT OF 20, comprising 11 marked sterling pieces consisting of a mustard spoon, a pair of "Queen Elizabeth" salt spoons by Dominick & Haff of New York City, NY, a glass shaker with sterling top and a stamp box by Unger Bros. of Newark, NJ, a small cylindrical box possibly being a thimble holder, a pill box by R. Blackinton Co. of North Attleboro, MA, a pair of scissors with English sterling handles probably by Levi & Salaman having likely 1894 date mark, a pocket knife with sterling handles, and a pair of small squat jars with sterling lids; and nine other metal articles featuring a silver-plated mustache cup by Meriden Britannia Co. of Meriden, CT, two miniature pewter mugs, a gold-toned commemorative spoon for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in original presentation box, a miniature flask/bottle, and a set of four English silver-plated demitasse spoons. Most pieces with marks, 11 pieces marked for sterling fineness. Total weight of six solid sterling pieces and three sterling covers: 3.060 ozt. 19th and 20th century. Various sizes.
Provenance: Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation, and future acquisitions.

Condition

Most in good to very good overall condition with wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including dents, nicks, bending, puncture/holes, and/or worn spots to raised decoration; glass with nicks, flakes, and/or one or a few small chips.
