BAKEWELL SHELL AND DOLPHIN COMPOTE, colorless shallow shell-form bowl raised on a frosted colorless dolphin-form standard and domed foot rayed underneath, wafer construction. Bakewell, Pears & Co., Pittsburgh, PA. Circa 1875. 6 5/8" H, 6 1/8" x 8" bowl, 4 3/8" D foot.

Condition
Excellent condition overall with a flake to one tail lobe, a flake to the lower back lobe, a sliver chip and flake to the underside of the foot.
