BALTIMORE, MARYLAND DECORATED STONEWARE PRESENTATION JAR, salt-glazed, "3" gallon capacity mark, ovoid form with squared rim, arched tab handles. Incised "Auburn" in script to shoulder. Brushed cobalt floral design encircling body, additional cobalt to handle terminals. Possibly Parr Pottery. Circa 1850. 14 1/8" H, 7 3/4" D rim.

Having some rim hairlines, two hairline cracks including one extending from rim to below one handle, one handle with chip, and some scattered chips to foot edge. Manufacturing flaws including stone pops, as made.
