BLACK, STARR & FROST STERLING SILVER DESK CLOCK WITH ORIGINAL PRESENTATION CASE, rectangular form case with repousse and chased decoration of flowers and scrolled leaves, engraved "George" at top, hinged easel stand to back, center set with a Swiss clock having a white enamel dial with Roman chapter ring, seconds subsidiary, and gold-toned hands, presented in the original leather presentation case with green silk lining and an easel stand to back. Case marked "STERLING" below a mark for Black, Starr & Frost of New York City, NY, clock face marked "BLACK, STARR & FROST / NEW-YORK / SWISS", presentation case with mark to interior. Includes key. Late 19th/early 20th century. Clock 2 1/2" x 4" OA.
Condition
Very good overall condition, silver with some wear, surface scratches, and nicks, some denting notable to sides, presentation case with some wear, silk lining with some spots of shattering and light fading and discoloration. Clock currently running but not timed for accuracy (see Catalogue Guarantee).
