BOHEMIAN BIRD AND FLORAL ENAMEL-DECORATED GLASS TEA CADDY, amethyst with polychrome-enamel decoration, rectangular form with curved sides, depicting birds perched on flowering branches to the top, floral sprays to the base, period brass mount with locking mechanisms, lacking key, cut and polished top and edges. Fourth quarter 19th century. 4 1/4" H.
Provenance: Property of a Virginia gentleman.
Excellent condition with some scattered wear; brass mount having some light denting; heavy shelf wear to the underside.
