BRASS FIGURAL KEROSENE TABLE LAMP,
globular-from vase holder with applied ornamentation depicting medallions and double figural dragon/griffin handles, supported by four ball-form feet, brass drop-in font. Fitted with a period slip burner, cased rose pink ball-form shade with gilt decorated fleur-de-lis, brass heat ring. Electrified.
Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century.
24 3/4" H to top of shade, 13 1/4" H to top of font, 12" DOA.
Expected wear and some light denting, one dragon wing with a repair at juncture, drop-in font with holes for electrification. Burner with losses and alterations associated with electrifying, shade undamaged and with normal as-made fitter roughness, minute wear to gilt decoration .
