BRITISH SPATTERWARE FLORAL MOTIF CUP AND SAUCER SETS, LOT OF THREE, comprising one example with brown-sponged decoration depicting a thistle flower design and two examples with blue-sponged decoration including one featuring a rose with three buds motif and one having a thistle design. Marks to underside include one impressed "STONE WARE / PW & Co" and one with "3". Podmore, Walker & Co., Tunstall, England; and others. Second quarter 19th century. 8 5/8" HOA.
Condition
Thistle examples undamaged; rose cup with rim hairline and saucer with radial hairline and a flake to rim interior.
