BS-6 BEADED SCROLL AND PALMETTE PRESSED OPEN SALT, colorless, flat factory-polished rim, raised on four scrolled feet. Extremely rare. Possibly New England. 1830-1845. 1 7/8" H, 2" x 3 1/4".

Catalogue Note: This is the first example of this salt that we have sold. In addition, it was not represented in the Elsholz collection.
Near proof, shallow chip to edge of rim, typical mold roughness to rim ends, one scroll on body with small chip. Rim with 1/4" annealing check, as made.
