BUFFALO POTTERY HUNTING / ANIMAL MOTIF CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE, each having dark green ground with transfer scenes and gilt rims, comprising one bulbous pitcher featuring a dog's head to one side and reverse depicting a man with a rifle and spaniel at his side, titled "THE GUNNER" on base and four scalloped rim plates including two depicting mallard ducks, one featuring an "AMERICAN WOODCOCK", and one with "THE GUNNER". All marked "SEMI-VITREOUS / BUFFALO POTTERY". Each having green-printed buffalo with "SEMI-VITREOUS" above and "BUFFALO POTTERY" below, some having additional year and pattern number. Buffalo Pottery, Buffalo, NY. Early 20th century. Pitcher 6 1/4" H, plates 9 3/8" D.

Condition

Plates undamaged, except some having usage wear including scattered losses to gilt decorations and/or light short scattered scratches; pitcher having restoration to chip on spout.
