CAST-METAL PARLOR LAMP WITH VICTORIAN DECORATED SHADE, cast metal with nickel finish, vase font holder with ornamentation in heavy scroll and floral pattern, globular-form drop-in font with brass pot and matching ornamentation cast-metal shoulder, raised on three figural Mephistopheles feet with curled tips, No. 3 Taplin-Brown collar. Fitted with an Imperial central draft burner, opal shade with dark-toned olive green ground, scattered spots of gilt decoration and polychrome floral decoration of white flowers, neck in an octagonal form. Fourth quarter 19th century. 16 1/2" H to top of shade, 7 1/4" H to top of collar, 6 3/4" DOA foot. Shade 6 5/8" H, 10" D fitter.
Undamaged, some very minute wear to decoration, shade rims with normal as-made roughness.
