incised "3" gallon capacity, elongated ovoid form with flattened rim and applied strap handle.
Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century.
15 3/8" H, 7" D rim.
Provenance: From an Albemarle Co., VA collection.
Base having two flakes and rim with hairline and two chips. Manufacturing flaws including stone pop to top of rim, as made.
