CHINESE / JAPANESE EXPORT HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE, comprising three vases including an ovoid example with alternating four-color vertical bands and bright polychrome decorations including an exotic perched bird and peony motif, a bottle-form example having a blue and white floral design, and a square-form example with rich turquoise glaze, incised floral designs and molded mask handles, and two bowls including an Imari-decorated example with floral motif, and one featuring two colorful long-tailed birds beneath a blossoming cherry tree. Second half 19th to 20th century. 10 3/4" HOA.

Turquoise and vertical bands example undamaged; remaining having imperfections including bruises, hairlines, and Imari bowl with rim chip and associated hairline.
