CHRISTIE / CHRISTY FAMILY, FREDERICK CO., SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA CHIPPENDALE WALNUT SCHRANK, two-piece construction, top with applied molded cornice above two lip-molded and cock-beaded fielded-panel doors, lower case with two lip-molded drawers, raised on full-height dovetailed bracket feet. Right side of interior is open for hanging and left side set with three shelves, the upper having a boldly cut-out front profile. Original H-hinges, bail brasses, and escutcheons. Poplar and yellow pine secondary woods. Retains an old refinished surface with warm color. Late 18th/early 19th century. 80 1/2" H, 53 1/4" W, 22" D.
